Miami Heat traveled to New York City where they will play against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. The Heat are currently on a two-game win streak as they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies a few days ago in Miami and also the Atlanta Hawks on the road in their last game. The guard Dwyane Wade is questionable for the game tonight due to illness.
Wade has only missed one game so far in the season and he's been one of the best performers of the Heat. Despite his poor performance against the Hawks, Wade is still Heat's leading scorer, although he only scores 18 points per game on relatively low shooting percentages. The shooting guard has appeared in 34 career games against the Nets, averaging 23.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
This will be the first game between the Nets and the Heat this season, and the Heat will enter the game with 14-9 record, while Nets have 7 wins and 17 losses. Despite the bad record, the Nets have started playing well recently and they are 2-2 in their last four games, just like the Heat.
Miami swept the regular season series against Brooklyn last season and are looking to do the same again. However, if Wade misses the game it will be difficult, especially considering that Josh McRoberts will also miss the game and the backup guard Tyler Johnson is also questionable for it. Considering that the Heat will be short-handed tonight, we might see more playing time for Amar'e Stoudemire and even Chris Andersen.
