Miami Heat have dealt with numerous injuries over the past few years and they can't catch a break. Just recently, the guard Josh Richardson torn his MCL in right knee and it may take a lot of time until he recovers. Richardson suffered the injury during workout on Friday and his return will depend on his rehab process. This is a shocking news for the Heat as they expected him to take his game to anew level next season, but it will be postponed due to this unfortunate injury.
Richardson was supposed to be a starter on the team next season or at least to play a big role off the bench. This will be his second season as he averaged 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds during his rookie year, while being one of the best shooters on the team. He shot 46.1% from the long range, which was one of the best percentages in the whole league, and he was also a decent perimeter defender.
The Heat guard was a draft steal with the 40th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. He showed that he can play really good and contribute a lot to the team. It is unfortunate that he suffered this injury as it will delay his progress and improvement, but it is almost certain that he will be fine and will make a step forward whenever he recovers.
