Kevin Durant Will Sign With Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant, the top free agent this summer, has decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors. Durant had meetings with a few teams, including the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, beside his former team the Oklahoma City Thunder, and at the end he decided to take his talents to Oakland.  The wait is finally over!

Durant has played nine seasons in the NBA and has achieved numerous accomplishments during this period. He led the league four times in scoring and was named an all-star in seven seasons. The forward also reached the NBA Finals in 2011, but unfortunately lost. His biggest individual achievement, however, was winning MVP award in 2014. Durant is only 27 and even though he has had many amazing seasons, it is expected of him to play the best basketball of his life in the upcoming years.

During the course of his career, Durant has averaged 27.4 points per game, which ranks him third all-time, just behind Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. Beside his incredible scoring skills, KD is also a decent rebounder and he's been a great ball distributor lately, averaging just under 5 assists per game. Durant has also improved his defense and right now he's a full package and a great two-way player who can impact the game in many ways.

Beside Durant, there are a few more big-name players who are still free agents and the most notable free agent is LeBron James, who opted out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron is expected to re-sign with the reigning champions, but he is allowed to join any other team that gives him an offer, so maybe there will be more free agency suspense.
