Hassan Whiteside Out for Game 3

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Hassan Whiteside is done for the game 3 and possibly for the series. the Heat center injured his right knee early in the game and will not return to the game. Whiteside had this injury in game 2 as well, but he managed to return. This time, he is done for the game and the injury will affect his status for the rest of the series.

Whiteside spent only 8 minutes of the floor, making both of his shots and two free throws, for a total of 6 points. The opposing center Jonas Valanciunas had a great first half with 16 points and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes and there is no doubt that the Raptors will use him even more now when the Heat don't have their center. The Heat will have to use the 6'10" power forward Amar'e Stoudemire in Whiteside's spot, but he will most likely not be able to limit Valanciunas.
