Joe Johnson recently joined the Miami Heat and he is already happy with the team. Johnson said that one of the reasons why he joined the Heat is because the team president Pat Riley told him it's not a short-term deal and that he wants him to finish his career in Miami.

So far in two games, Johnson looks as a perfect fit for the Heat. In his first game in a Heat uniform, the swingman scored 12 points, which was followed by the 24-point performance against the Chicago Bulls. It is most likely that Johnson will stay in Miami for a few more years and possibly retire there. He said that he is playing year-to-year, but he doesn't plan this to be his final career year.

Johnson is also a good friend of the franchise superstar Dwyane Wade and the chemistry between them, as well as other teammates on the floor, looks very good already.
